Growing up in places like the U.A.E, and Turkey, gave me the chance to experience many different worlds of spices. I’ve always been obsessed with the different aromas, and smells that each spice contained, which helped me improve my sense of smell when cooking!

This curry originates from my Italian grandmother’s recipe, which I tweaked a bit using an original blend of 14 different spices!

I wanted to make a curry that had a bit of everything, and that was able to convey my ‘identity’ through it. Hence I chose an Italian recipe, indian spices, and even added sansho, a Japanese spice.

I hope you all enjoy this dish that will be available during the shimokitazawa curry festival!

このカレーは、14種類のスパイスのオリジナルブレンドを使用して少し調整したイタリアの祖母のレシピに由来しています！

少しでもすべてが入ったカレーを作りたかったので、それを通して自分の「アイデンティティ」を伝えることができました。 そのため、私はイタリアのレシピ、インドのスパイスを選び、さらに日本のスパイスである山椒を追加しました。
